This reflection can be used to explore any emotion.
Find somewhere quiet, where you will not be disturbed. Leave your tech out of sight, sound and reach. Make yourself comfortable.
Take a few deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth. Now, bring to mind a time when you were [insert emotion of choice]. Experience it again. Where in your body do you feel it? What is the sensation in your belly, if any? In your chest? In your face? Are there sensations elsewhere in your body: your arms, your legs, your head, your guts? Do you feel hot or cold? Energised or drained? Light or heavy? Still or agitated? Are they steady feelings, or do they come and go like waves, or perhaps turn off and on?
Be as detailed as you can. Are these sensations you are familiar with, or do they seem new to you?
When you think you have got it all, come back to the here and now.
